SAT Prep Materials Available to RCPS Students

RCPS has purchased the NEW SAT Bundle through USATestPrep to assist our students in preparing for the redesigned SAT.  As you may have heard, the new SAT is more aligned with the skill-based focus of Common Core (GSE) standards, focusing on relevant words in context, using evidence, analyzing a source in an essay, problem-solving and data analysis, and information text analysis.  Khan Academy has a great video that provides a more detailed overview of the new SAT.

Please share with your students the login information for USATestPrep. It makes a great warm-up activity or at home practice!

2. Login (Do not actually log in here--just click it)
3. Create account
1. Account ID: heritage
2. Teacher/Student Activation Code: newton24 
4. Login information: Create a username, password, confirm password (Write this information down, your teachers will not have access to it.)
5. Personal information--Fill in your first name, last name, grade level, and email address.
6. Check the "I agree" box.
7. Click on Create Account
8. Login with your username and password (Account ID: heritage)
9. From the menu at the top click on SAT/ACT/AP and select from either SAT Reading (2016), SAT Writing (2016), or SAT Mathematics (2016). Be sure to choose the (2016) categories so that you are practicing for the correct test.
