March 17, 2016: Today in Class

B1 10th Lit/Comp
  • Julius Caesar packets collected at beginning of class (summative grade)
  • Completed Julius Caesar essays due before you leave class today—this is a timed, in-class assignment (summative grade)
    • The only resource you may use is a hard copy of the textbook
    • Remember to include cited textual evidence from the play (page numbers or line numbers are fine)
    • ALL electronics (including laptops) need to remain in pockets or bags until you have turned in your essay; electronics = cheating, so keep them put away
    • If you finish early, find something to work on silently.

B3 American Lit

  • Write 3 paragraphs in response to p. 995 #6 (handwrite, don’t type)—you have 30 minutes to finish and turn in
  • “The Life You Save May Be Your Own” Flannery O’Connor
    • Independently, read p. 1010-1023 and do p. 1023 #1-3, and write 3 paragraphs in response to p. 1023 #4
  • Homework: If you did not finish p. 1023 #1-4, complete for homework to turn in Tuesday

B4 Creative Writing

  • This week: What’s on your mind?
  • This week’s assignment: 800 words, topic and genre of your choice
  • Agenda
    • Thursday: Work session: assignment due at end of class
    • If you finish early, work on SAT Prep in USA Test Prep (instructions on mrscobbspot.blogspot.com) or do work for another class—no hanging out or napping
