- “Everything Stuck to Him” by Raymond Carver
- As a class, read and discuss p. 1324-1331 and p. 1331 #1-4
- Write a 3-paragraph analytical essay in which you examine the ending of “Everything Stuck to Him.” Consider the following questions as you write: In what ways does the story end happily? What note of discord is introduced and how? What do you understand about the father and daughter’s relationship from earlier details? How is your sense of the ending affected by that understanding? Begin your essay by stating your position. Then, defend your position with details from the story.
