    • Final drafts are due at the beginning of class Thursday. 
    • Digitally: We'll go over how to upload a document and share on One Drive Thursday. 
    • Handwritten in pen: You'll turn in your written final draft, stapled to your rough draft, at the beginning of class Thursday.
    • Rough drafts with peer edits are also due at the beginning of class Thursday. 
    • Everyone: Bring your fully charged laptop to class Thursday.

  • Mentor text: from "The Statue That Didn't Look Right"
  • Assignments, due at end of class Thursday:
    1. Write 600 words on the topic of split-second decision making in the genre of your choice (short story, poetry, nonfiction, etc.) and submit using One Drive
    2. Choose which if your pieces you'd like to submit for the Young Georgia Authors competition (any genre, 5 pages minimum), type it in Times New Roman 12 pt. font, and submit to me using One Drive. When you share the file, type "Young Georgia Authors" in the message area
